For those of you whom remember our New Year’s Eve parties from years long passed, we are happy to announce that we will once again be picking up our collective glass (where once we left off), in honor and respect for what this upcoming year may hold (for everyone whom we hold dear)… The official pachanga is set to take place on Wednesday December 31st at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, and will most definitely include those elements of song, dance, and good cheer, which dominated those past New Year’s Eves whence once we blissfully (drunkenly), danced the night away…
 
As lore has it, and as it goes, it is widely accepted that red "undies" will help encourage fulfillment in matters of the heart (flesh, love, like, lust or whatever), and that the green grape, when consumed on the Eve of a New Year, will promote good luck and prosperity… Other superstitions, nuances and kooky practices are highly recommended for that night, as we’d like to promote the highest of good intention, and the purest of elevated spirits… On that note, we’d also like invite all of those that dabble in the liquid arts, to please cozy up to the bar and raise a pint with your faithful Plebe, in honor of all that we (as people) have experienced this past year, and are surely set to endure in the upcoming months (all 12 of ‘em)… For those of you whom do not indulge in the culture of the bottle, we ask that you still join us for a symbolic toast, with equal respect and fervor, for what the future may hold… This year’s event promises to exceed all others (with all due respect) in aspects of organization and the number of participants, as for the very first time, it will not only be the musical groups that will be a rockin’ and a rollin’, but rather, we are also counting on our internationally renowned Master of Ceremonies Craig Billmier, and the always moonstompin’ DJ Chaos to raise the stakes to a level never before seen at a Plebe party… With THAT having been said, you can definitely expect to be serenaded with ambiance and music from the moment you enter the club, to the very last and fleeting moments before the haze of yet another concluded year is either erased for good, or is rather imbedded in the halls of your spirit and mind forever… SO, prepare to enter a land where balloons, noisemakers, doo-dads, hats, and the obligatory midnight toast will reign supreme, amidst the smiles, hugs, and kisses that are always present when our beloved family and friends converge on venue, ready to dance the night away…
 
Because of the truly special nature of this event, and because it will surely prove to be THE premier New Year’s Eve event in San Francisco (with all due respect once again), we implore you all to please purchase tickets in advance, so as to insure guaranteed entrance, and so as to not see anyone’s brown eyes turn blue, on such a night as this… Additionally, we humbly ask you (the prospective concert go-er), to please show up early, with doors officially opening at 8:30 in the evening, and the punk rock folk powerhouse that is Blackbird Raum jumping on promptly at 9:15 in the PM… This is a band which is not to be missed!!!
 
So with nothing more for the remaining days of this current year, we would like to thank everyone whom has shared a moment in time with us, from the Balkans, Europa, Mexico, California and beyond… With our heartfelt gratitude and respect, we send everyone a big hug, and our most positive aspirations for this upcoming new year… Con todo el pinche corazón, WE thank YOU!!!

Con todo el pinche gusto del mundo, los queremos invitar a que salgan ESTE Miércoles 31 de Diciembre, a pachangear un poco con esta bola de cabrones (su fiel y humilde Plebe) en la ciudad de San Panchito California, donde la fiesta del año se llevará acabo en el Bottom of the Hill (ubicado por las calles 17 y Missouri), alado de las bandotas Blackbird Raum, Banda Newsense y the Fucking Buckaroos… Incluso, la noche cuenta con la participación muy especial de nuestros camaradas DJ Chaos (en las plataformas giratorias), y el mero mero Craig Billmier, cual estará conduciendo toda la noche como director de fiesta!!! Neta que si, al chile, y sin pelos en la lengua, este evento cual es PARA TODAS LAS EDADES, tendrá los más bravos del barrio en asistencia, y promete ser un reventón cual es justo para calentar un poco el alma, el eskeleto, y sin quedarse detrás, el pinche higado también…
 
Les pedimos que POR FAVOR compren sus boletos de antemano (si es posible), para asegurar de que nuestra querida raza esté presente en este evento muy especial, cual quizás se agote, o por lo menos, que LLEGUEN TEMPRANO para evitar complicaciones… Las puertas se abren a las 8:30pm, con el primer grupo programado a empezar a las 9:15 en punto!!! Sería nuestro gusto (y es nuestra esperanza), de que nuestra querida raza pachanguera nos acompañé en esta ocasión, para terminar el año con mucha alegría y amor comunitario… Les aseguramos de que no se lo van a arrepentir, y que mejor fiesta en toda la ciudad de San Francisco no existirá esa noche (con todo respeto a nuestros colegas)… Entonces, por favor hagan sus planes, preparen sus cuerpos, avísenles a sus familias, y no falten al evento de Año Nuevo en el Bottom of the Hill ESTE Miércoles 31 de Diciembre… Los esperamos…

On a somber and truly unexpected note, we are deeply saddened to report that our brother in arms Poké (vocalist for the Romanian street punk band Recycle Bin), passed away unexpectedly this past Friday night in Bucharest Romania… With no further details other then that he collapsed shortly after walking off stage, we send his family, his band mates, and our friends in Romania are sincerest condolences, and deepest thoughts of empathy and love… He was a big man, with an even bigger heart, who always welcomed us with open arms and a sincere fraternal smile, which will be deeply missed… We will definitely share a toast in his honor, and we will see you again some day dear brother… Que en paz descanse el señor Poké…

 Con todo el pinche gusto del mundo, les anunciamos de que su fiel y humilde Plebe se lanza para tierras Tapatías esta mesmita noche, donde vamos a convivir unos días con la buen raza del barrio, gozando, tomando y tocando con nuestra querida raza de Guadalajara… Estamos muy pero muy contentos en tener esta oportunidad de reunirnos con nuestros amigos en Jalisco, y tenemos la esperanza de también tocar en otras ciudades en el poco tiempo que vamos a estar en México… La razón, o el evento clave, por el cual de este viaje tan corto, se llevará acabo ESTE Sábado 6 de Diciembre en La Concha Acústica, donde vamos a tocar junto con los compas de Sekta Core (DF) y No Tiene La Vaca (GDL) (entre muchos otras bandas), con la esperanza de ayudar un poco a los niños de la calle, durante este tiempo Navideño… El festival empieza temprano, y les pedimos que por favor lleguen a buena hora, para apoyar a todas las bandas participando en este evento…
 
We are extremely happy to announce that we will be hoppin’ a plane this very evening (early morning), as we are set to catch a redeye flight straight to Guadalajara Mexico where we will be playing a toy drive festival this very weekend, along with some surprise shows in other cities, of which, details will be published on the very days that those shows are to transpire… It is an extreme honor to be returning to our beloved Mexico once again (even if it is only for such a short period of time) and so, we humbly ask that you please help us spread the word, and get your tios, tias, primas and primos to meet us for caguama or two at one or all of our prospective shows… We promise to be on our best (worst) behavior possible and above all, give every ounce of energy and love that we possibly can muster, to all whom will ultimately be present… Additionally, we will be hitting as many taco and danger dog stands as possible, as we have yet to further develop that extra layer of blubber, which will surely help us combat that crisp San Francisco chill which is fast approaching… And finally, if memory serves us well, this trip also coincides with the yearly release of Mexico’s only seasonal beer called "Noche Buena" which incidentally, is truly an amber kiss of goodness… And so needless to say, we are SUPER excited…

After an extremely long (and over indulged) literary hiatus, your faithful Plebe once again rears its ugly collective head and frothy mouth, to extend our kindest regards and sincerest gratitude to our beloved family and friends whom continue to support this traveling musical circus, which is now dangerously close to entering its 8th year in existence… Since our return from Europe and the Eastern European Balkans ("Música y Amigos Tour") in early August, we’ve been arduously drinking and practicing, playing a bit, and writing new material in preparation for some truly exciting opportunities, which we’ve been so kindly invited to participate in… Details on such upcoming endeavors will be detailed below, while first and foremost we would like to invite everyone to a very cool and happening, punk rocking-est event TONIGHT, Friday November 14th in the city of Richmond, at the legendary underground haven known as Burnt Ramen Studios… We are very proud and honored to have helped organize a fundraiser benefit show for our brethren from the group Eskapo, whom are preparing to embark on a tour of the Philippines for the very first time, and re-visit those territories and friends in resistance, whom they left so many years ago… We cannot properly convey the degree of joy and happiness that we feel for them, and so we humbly ask all of you young upstarts, old rabble rousers, mischievous souls, and overall unsavory types to please join us TONIGHT, Friday November 14th in Richmond, and help give these wonderful Eskapo blokes (our sista band) a supportive kick in the pants… The show begins EARLY (at around 8pm), and so we ask that you PLEASE show up accordingly, so as to not miss any of the beer soaked festivities… Live performances will be realized by your faithful Plebe, the Bum City Saints, Gunner and Eskapo, while those present can enjoy a silent art auction, whose funds will also go towards the Eskapo’s punk rock sojourn… We are very excited to be playing Burnt Ramen for the very first time, and so we truly hope that our esteemed peoples can join us for what is to sure to be a wonderful and memorable deflowering ceremony…??? THIS SHOW IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
 
Después de un descanzo literario demasiado largo, sin comunicarnos con todos ustedes por un buen tiempo, su fiel y humilde Plebe por fin se reporta para invitarlos a que salgan ESTA noche, el 14 de Noviembre en la ciudad de Richmond, donde se va armar un muy buen evento en el foro ultra punketo clandestino conocido como Burnt Ramen Studios… Tenemos el placer de estar tocando junto con los hermanos de Eskapo, Gunner y Bumtown Saints esta mesmita noche, en apoyo de, y tratando de recaudar fondos para el grupo Eskapo, antes de que se lanzan para sus tierras de origen en Enero, cuando estarán de la gira por las Filipinas por primera vez… Estamos muy contentos y orgullosos de ellos, y les deseamos el mejor éxito entre sus familias, amigos, barrios y elementos gastronómicos que solo se encuentran cuando uno tiene el lujo de regresar para su país de origen… Entonces, les pedimos que POR FAVOR salgan con nosotros ESTA NOCHE a bailar un poco, levantar unas cheves, y buscar el buen ambiente entre sus amigos y la raza chida… Los esperamos alratón!!!
 
In other news, we are very happy to announce that us guys also, will be returning to our respective “madreland” (3 outta 5 Plebes agree) in early December, as we embark on a 5 day mini tour of central Méjico, based around a festival in Guadalajara whose aim is to help displaced and neglected children within the city of Guadalajara… And so needless to say, we are borderline giddy about this opportunity to re-visit our family and friends in those beloved cities that we miss soooo much… Prepare the tortas ahogadas, danger dogs, tacos and micheladas, as La pinche Plebe will definitely be hungry, thirsty, and ready for action…
 
En otras noticias, estamos muy contentos en avisarles de que estamos por regresar a Guadalajara (y otras pocas ciudades) muy pronto, empezando por los principios de Diciembre, con un viaje desafortunadamente muy breve de solo 5 días… El evento principal por cual nos estamos hechando el brinco para México, se llevará acabo el 8 de Diciembre en Guanatos, bajo el nombre de “Va Por Ellos – Rock por la Sonrisa de la Niñez”, y pronto les vamos a poder enviar más detalles… Mientras, estamos haciendo planes acerca de donde vamos a pasar por tortas ahogadas, tacos (en Zapopan), viril, y unas micheladas muy picosas… Eso también se los vamos a avisar, para ver si nos acompañan???… Ajua!!!
 
And lastly for now, we are ecstatic to announce that we are once again organizing our semi-annual New Year’s Eve punk rock dance party pachanga on December 31st in the city of San Francisco… The shindig, balloons, bubbles and baile will be fulfilled at the Bottom of the Hill, for what is sure to be the premiere, all ages, all inclusive and all inviting New Year’s Eve shindig in the City… So please mark your calendars and get ready to ring in the New Year with a glassy eyed smile…
 
También les queríamos avisar de que estamos organizando un evento para festejar el año nuevo (31 de Diciembre) en el Bottom of the Hill de San Panchito Califaztlán, cual va ser un evento que realmente no se pueden perder… Va ver música, baile, cheve, ambiente, copas, regalos, y la mejor vibra para recibir el nuevo año con una sonrisa y con mucha alegría… Por favor hagan sus planes desde ahorita, para no faltar a este reventón…

Greetings to the workers of the world…

We are very very very happy and excited to be writing to you from the city of Sofia Bulgaria, with a few words for all of our beloved family and friends around the world… So far, the tour has been an absolute thing of beauty, with amazing shows in London, Rijeka Croatia, Belgrade Serbia, Novi Sad Serbia and lastly Skopje Macedonia… We were amazed and surprised by a guest vocalist on the first night of our tour, as the legendary Mick Jones sat in with your faithful Plebe, as we performed our version of The Clash’s well known anthem, Guns of Brixton… Needless to say, it was a dream that we would have never conceived as possible, and we are thankful for the opportunity to rock with such a person… We toasted the night away amongst old and new friends alike, and continued onto the Balkans where every night has found us meeting the sun and it’s rays on a nightly basis, and saying goodbye to moon, for a few hours at least… Since then, we’ve recorded a new song, yet to be titled, with the homeboys from Atheist Rap, and we are currently in the Tangra Mega Rock studios, preparing for tonight’s gig at the Backstage Club… We promise to put some pictures up whence we get the opportunity, and keep everyone posted as to how the tour continues to develop… As for now, we bid everyone a very heartfelt thank you for the support, and we hope to see our friends throughout this trip… IF you happen to be in the city of San Francisco on July 1st, PLEASE go and support our homeboys at the Knockout, as the groups Cobra Skulls, Banda Newsense, Niño Zombie (Mexico DF), and Krush Klamath (Portland) are set to grace the stage… Otherwise, please stay tuned for futher information, and keep us in mind as the days pass us by (we promise to do the same)… With nothing more for the time being, we thank everyone for the support, and we hope to see our friends at all the shows… MUCHAS GRACIAS raza, take care, and see you at the gigs… Salúd!!!

PLEASE join us THIS very Saturday, June 21st in the lovely city of San Francisco, for what will surely be one of our most exciting shows ever, as we celebrate the launching of our very first, East meets West, "Música y Amigos" Tour, with a stellar kickoff show at the Bottom of the Hill… THIS will be the last occasion that we have to cut a rug domestically (for some time), as we will be gone for about 6 weeks, traveling from Cervo Italy, to Sofia Bulgaria, with many many many stops in between (14 countries I believe???)… So PLEASE do not think twice about joining us on Saturday, as this show features both local and legendary greats in the likes of The Departed, Druglords of the Avenues, and M.D.C., whom will be playing both acoustically and electrically for the fine folks in attendance… The show itself is ALL AGES, starts at 9pm, and carries a weight of 10 bux in the pocket book, so we once again implore our beloved family and friends, to please join us for what we hope (and are certain), will truly be a magical night of music… Additionally, we will be bidding our friend Dominic "adieu" on Saturday night, as he will be flying the California coop and moving over to Arizona in the coming days, so if you see him that night, feel free to buy him a drink or give him a nice pat on the rump…

We are excited and honored to be playing an awesome ALL AGES show in the city of San Francisco THIS VERY FRIDAY May 2nd, alongside some very cool bands… Being a stellar lineup indeed, the show is set to commence early, and for us old timers, go until late, with a wide panorama of punk rock and other genres earnestly on display… It is our very first time ever playing Thee Parkside, so we humbly ask our beloved family and friends to join us for a virginal night of sweet sweet music and good wholesome fun making… We will be once again playing alongside our friends in Cobra Skulls, Nothington, Bent Left (from Kansas City), and Kemo Sabe!!! This event has been organized by Scott Alcoholocaust as a fundraiser for our upcoming tour (which we can honestly attest to being a costly endeavor for any independent band), and so all of the bands that are playing that evening have selflessly agreed to donate their time to try n’ help us come close to someday maybe covering part of our expenses… Needless to say, we are forever indebted to their kindness and quality of character ("the cuts of their jibs")… So we thank THEM very much (brothers in arms) for their support, and pledge them nothing less in return… MUCHAS GRACIAS cabrones!!!

Estamos muy contentos en poder invitar a nuestra querida raza a pachangear un poco junto con su fiel Plebe, en la ciudad de San Panchito, mañanita mesmo en el Parkside por la calle 17 y Wisconsin… El evento es PARA TODAS LAS EDADES, y cuenta con presentaciones de bandas muy chingonas, la mayoría cuales son locales, junto con una banda que está de gira desde la ciudad de Kansas… Es un orgullo ser parte de esta alineación, y les aseguramos que la noche estará caliente, y con buen ambiente… El evento está organizado como un beneficio para tratar de cubrir algunos de los gastos que nuestra gira que está por venir, requiere… Como muchos grupos (y personas) ya lo saben, este proceso y trabajo de la música se hace por el amor, y no por el fin de fama y lucro… Entonces, para nosotros, ya después de 7 años tratando de patear culos por diferentes partes del mundo en forma completamente autogestionado, los gastos siempre son el detalle que decide si en realidad, vamos a poder ir para tierras lejanas, y llevar un poco de nuestro ruido a nuevos lugares… Entonces, estos vatos en los otros grupos van a estar donando su tiempo para tratar de ayudarnos un poco, para realizar este viaje que nos está llegando encima muy rápido… Les agradecemos a ellos UN CHINGO por este gran paro, y les aseguramos a ellos todo nuestro apoyo hoy y siempre, si llega el día que ellos ocupan algo de nuestra parte…

We are very happy and excited to announce the recent birth of our newest tour, coming to a city near you, featuring countries within our beloved Balkan region once again, and for the very first time, countries in the West of Europe as well… The "Música y Amigos" Tour is set to kick off on Saturday June 21st in San Francisco, with a great ALL AGES punk show featuring the sights and sounds of M.D.C., Druglords of the Avenues, and The Departed, all together at the Bottom of the Hill for one short night, and one night only… The next morning is our first official travel day, with the action picking up in London on the 23rd of June, and continuing onto the mainland for an almost 6 week adventure, dually driven by love, yet fueled by the power of suds… To see our confirmed dates and prospective cities, please visit our website or me-space page, n’ have yourself a looksy… We are honored to be playing such great events, and to be traveling to new lands and far away places… It is a gift that we do not take lightly, and one that we appreciate very much… So we thank everyone for the support…

To get the juices flowing and shake these bones a bit, we are heading up north THIS VERY WEEKEND for a brief mini-tour with stops in Bayside, Chico and Stockton… The shows should all be super fun, as on Friday we will be in the presence of prombots, Saturday will include a live recording (soon be released on vinyl), and Sunday boasts an early show that’ll cap the weekend off just right… So please make the necessary arrangements, and join us if you reside within (or around) the aforementioned areas, and are not opposed to having a good time… We are fun loving chaps that appreciate good company… So we’ll hopefully see ya soon…

We are very excited to be rockin’ n’ rollin’ this very Saturday March 8th at the Uptown in Oakland alongside Voodoo Glowskulls and Punchout from down south… We played with both of these bands last week in San José and had a very good time, so we are once again expecting a very fun show, and hope that our beloved family and friends will be in attendance to raise a few pints… This show is strictly for those oldies but goodies (21+), as well as those resourceful youngsters whom possess the necessary paperwork to ensure admittance… Either way, we’ll see ya at the bar…

We will be playing our very first show of the year THIS coming Saturday February 2nd at El Rio in San Francisco, as we took the month of January off from gigging, so as to help re-charge the internal batteries a bit… So, I could definitely say that the boys are rather thirsty for a good musical gig, and all the fine suds that often accompany these sorts of occasions… It is with additional joy that we approach THIS coming Saturday, as both the Cobra Skulls and Barfeeders are scheduled to mix it up a bit, for all of the fine folks which we hope will be in attendance… And to help justify the next day’s eminent and inevitable hangover, the show’s proceeds will go to benefit the independent publication Razorcake Magazine, and their proposed community center in the East of Los Angeles, where they hope to create a viable cultural and musical space for the independent artist around… So please show up expectin’ to hear some rockin’ music and to have a very good time, all for a worthwhile cause…

Así es querida raza, les avisamos de que estamos por regresar al barrio, con un toquín ESTE Sábado 2 de Febraio en el antro local "El Rio", por las calles Misión con Precita alado de las bandas Bar Feeders y Cobra Skulls… Este evento resulta ser un beneficio para la gente de Razorcake Magazine, cuales difunden sus voces y opiniones sobre el movimiento musical independiente, en forma completamente autogestionado… El ingreso de este evento será utilizado para la creación de un centro comunitario en el Este de Los Angeles, donde piensan organizar eventos musicales y culturales para la comunidad alrededor… Entonces, aparte de que el evento va ser del mejor ambiente, el dinero entrante se va para ayudar a una causa muy pero muy buena, realmente justificando la buena cruda que probablemente nos va aplastar el día siguiente… Los esperamos ESTE Sábado 2 de Febrero pa’l reventón… Salucita raza!!!…

We would like to thank everyone for what will now be the commencement of our 8th year as the luckiest band around, playing, singing and dancing for our beloved family and friends, as well as for those powers that be whom do not like to hear a united voice of dissent… Our shows and the sharing of time and space with everyone often feels like a drunken protest at a really good carnaval, where emotion and sincerity rule the school, and everyone has a place where we can celebrate our experience… I know that it sounds rather hippy but it’s true, so raise up your fucking pints and put your arm around the person next to you, as we are all the fucking same… Salúd cabrones!!!

Les mandamos nuestro agradecimiento mas sincero por la buena vibra y los años de apoyo… Seguimos siendo el grupo más afortunado (ebrio) del mundo, por la presencia y calor que ustedes nos siguen regalando… Tenemos muchos eventos y muchos años por venir, entonces, para llegar todos juntos, hay que tomarlo leve (con que se pueda tomar)… con todo el pinche corazón, muchas muchas y MUCHISIMAS gracias raza…

"Razorcake is the only official non-profit music magazine in America dedicated to supporting independent music culture. It’s kinda hard to explain in a couple of paragraphs the "what"s and "how"s of Razorcake being non-profit. Rest assured that the money generated goes right back into producing the magazine, updating the website, working on grants, day-to-day operations, and working towards our ultimate goal of one day opening a community center in East Los Angeles.

We understand that most DIY punk-related stuff doesn’t make any money. What’s so special about us holding that up as a banner? First and foremost, we’re not here merely for ourselves. Since January, 2001, we’ve been here to celebrate all the independent artists who make us happy, who make us think, and who help give us some meaning. You help us; we help hundreds of people who are actively creating a real, grass roots alternative in real time. Our modest hope is that by keeping Razorcake strong and doing our part, we’ll all make sure no one completely steals this culture from us, only to sell it back in a more diluted form.
